Our own formulation manufactured specifically for our wooden gates.
Timbershield is our own formulation, which has been manufactured specifically for use on wooden gates.
Timber Shield wood protector is a linseed oil based formulation which is U.V. stabilised and contains a fungicide for the treatment of all exterior timber, especially suited for the treatment of wooden gates.
Application and coverage
Having been manufacturing gates for a number of years, different products have been used to protect and colour the timber after insulation, we found none were really suitable. Experience has shown that the timber needed to be coloured before any protection is applied. Being aware of the unique requirements associated with the protection of our gates. Timber Shield was manufactured to address this problem.
Application:
Timbershield is best applied to new untreated timber, but can be applied over existing aged varnish, providing the surface has been suitable sanded down first. Obviously any colour present in the timber may affect any additional colour applied.
Coverage:
Timbershield Wood Protector will cover approx 40sq mtrs(will treat a pair of 12' wide x 6' high wooden gates 3 times)
Timbershield Wood Stain will cover approx 7sq mtrs(you will need 2 ltrs to stain a pair of wooden gates 12' wide x 6' high)
